Andrew E. Baker, 68-year-old painter, died at 1:50 o'clock this morning at St. Francis hospital where he had been a patient one day. Mr. Baker had been in failing health for the past five months. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Price funeral home. Burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery. Mr. Baker was born March 20, 1879 at Elmo, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Baker. He had spent most of his life in Maryville. Recently he had resided at 1102 East Cooper street. He was married to Matilda Tramble, September 20, 1920 in Maryville. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Willard Murray, Ravenwood; two sons, William Baker, Maryville, and Pvt. Richard Baker, Oceanside, Calif.; one step-son, George Henry Piveral, Maryville; one brother, Everett Baker, Maryville; two sisters, Mrs. George Cox, Parnell, and Mrs. George Starkey, Des Moines, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services for Andrew Baker were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Price funeral home. Mr. Baker died Wednesday morning at St. Francis hospital. The Rev. Earl Vansickle conducted the services. A duet composed of Mrs. T. A. Parish and Mrs. Dean Turner sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" accompanied by Mrs. Harry Price. Pallbearers were L. C. Hagee, Clyde Bliss, Ralph Charles Woods, J. C. Caldwell, Darl McClain and Ollie Majors. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.
