• Obituary, 4 Dec 1911, Schuyler, Colfax County, Nebraska, USA. 2799 in the Schuyler Messenger: After a severe illness lasting four weeks, Mrs. Jacob Franta died at her home a few miles south west of Morse Bluffs, Nebr, on Sunday morning, Dec 3rd. The deceased was 68 years 6 months old and was a native of Bohemia. She came to this country with her husband and two children 43 years ago and they settled at once on the farm which as been their home sever since. She leaves to mourn her death an aged husband, seven children, twenty six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The children are: Mrs. Barbara Dobrovelny of Fremont, Nebr., Mrs. Anna Dolezal and Mrs. Lucy Dolezal of Schuyler, Mrs. Mary Slaup of Bissell, and James, Anton, and Joseph Franta, all married and living near Morse Bluffs. The high regard in which Mrs. Franta was held by all who knew her was best illustrated by the large attendance at the funeral which was held Tuesday, there being about 175 carriages in the procession.
