Conflicting evidence states that Andrew was born at Churchtown, Columbia County, NY, on 22 Jun 1795 ⁴⁷⁹

  Noted events in his life were:

• Residence, 1803. ⁴⁷⁹ Moved from Livingston Manor, New York to Stone Arabia, New York
abt. 1820 - Moved to Chennango County with wife Susan, son Abraham, Andrew's parents and brother, Benjamin.
1830 - The 1830 census listed him as a resident of the Town of German engaged in agriculture. Household includes a wife, 3 sons and a daughter who died in 1830.

• Occupation, 1830, Town of German, New York. ⁴⁷⁹ Agriculture

• Occupation: Shoemaker and cobbler. ⁴⁷⁹ Worked for a time at a boot and shoe shop in Cincinnatus, NY. In the winter, he made the rounds of hillside farms in the German area and spend a week with a family repairing their boots and shoes and making new ones.

• Retirement. ⁴⁷⁹ He and Susan spent their last years in the home of their son Joseph. They died less than a month apart. His shoe bench and tools are remain in the family, belonging to Bruce and Betsy Marvin.

Andrew married Susan SITTS 4 Jan 1818 in Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stone Arabia, New York, USA. (Susan SITTS was born 16 Oct 1805 ⁴⁸⁰ and died in 1872 ⁴⁸⁰.)
