He seemed in his usual health that morning and was getting out his team to feed his cattle. Mrs. Whitehill noticed that the team was standing beside the tank unattended for quite awhile and went out to investigate and found her husband lying dead beside the team. He is survived by his wife and nine children, who are Frank, who lives near Summit; Vern of near Farragut; Carl of near Blanchard; Ralph, who is in the army and is stationed at Palo Alto, California; and Paul, Sam, Martha, Myrtle and Arlene, who are at home. He leaves two brothers, John of near Farragut and Matthew of Yorktown, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Messler of Canton, Ilinois.
