As a result of a hearing in municipal court Wednesday morning in which Alonzo S. Kreider of Havelock, accuses his neighbor, Frank Schowalter, his neighbor, with assult and battery, both Kreider and Schowalter were placed under $100 peace bonds. Mr. Kreider and his family testified that Schowalter struck Mr. Kreider on the face on Aug. 23 as the climax of a quarrel which existed between the two families. Mr. Showalter and two witnesses testified that the assult did not take place. Judge Chappell warned both the principals of the mixup against any further such trouble in the future.
