Obituary, 2007, Superior, Nuckolls County, Nebraska, USA. 3621 Biography of Donald Ray DiehlDonald Ray Diehl, the son of Lamar and Luella Celestia (Beaman) Diehl, was born on January 5, 1947 at Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on September 20, 2007 at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 60 years, 8 months and 15 days.Donald grew up in Superior and graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1965. Donald enlisted with the United States Marines on July 28, 1965 and was honorably discharged on July 27, 1971, earning him the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal and the Vietnamese Campaign Medal. He was united in marriage to Linda Jean McKee on February 10, 1966 in Superior, Nebraska. This union was blessed with five sons.Donald was employed with Ideal Cement for 18 years. He lived in the communities of Superior, Vista, California, Hebron and Beatrice Nebraska. While living in Beatrice he worked for Mosaic in the maintenance department for 12 years.Donald's life was his family and grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, Lamar and Luella Diehl.He is survived by his wife Linda of Blue Springs, Nebraska; and father-in-law, Gordon McKee of Beatrice, Nebraska; five sons, Donald Brian and wife Diane of Beatrice, Nebraska, Matthew Braden and wife Tina of St. Louis, Missouri, Devin Jamesof Ft. Collins, Colorado, David Daniel and wife Jenny of Beatrice, Nebraska and Andrew Gordon and wife Jill of Lincoln, Nebraska; five brothers, Richard and wife, Gale of Scurry, Texas, Harold and wife, Mary Ann of Fairfield, California, Dennis and wife,Kukcha of Ft. Worth, Texas, Stephen and wife Yolanda of Superior, Nebraska and Gerald of Hays, Kansas and one sister, Bonnie Crosby and husband James of Austin, Texas; 8 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. services were held on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at 2:00 PM fromthe Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Mark Diehlofficiating. Music was Elvis Presley recordings of "Peace In The Valley" and "In TheGarden".Honorary Pallbearers were Mike Combs, Earl Studer, Ron Elledge, Kim Delka,Jerry Heskett, and Donn Mellott.Full Military Rites was conducted by St. Mihel Post #103 and V.F.W.
