• Obituary, 10 Apr 1923, Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie County, Iowa, USA. 945 H. W. Goodell, aged 64 years, died of pneumonia at 11:30 o'clock Monday night at the Jennie Edmundson Memorial hospital, after an illness of four days. He was a Union Pacific employee an lived at Twenty-eight avenue and Seventeenth street. He was born in Illinois and had lived here for twenty-five years. He is survived by his widow, two sons, Otto of this city and Elmer of Fort Riley, Kas., and one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Noyce of this city. The body was removed to Cutlers' funeral home and funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Cutlers' chapel, Rev. R. Burton Sheppard of the Broadway M. E. church officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill cemetery.
13 APR 1923: The funeral of Hiram Goodell was held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Cutler's chapel, Rev. R. Burton Sheppard officiating. Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Beardsley. The pall bearers were G. E. Ellsworth, Frank Pike, J. Larson, F. A. Saar, J. Cornelison and T. H. Humes. Burial was in Walnut Hill cemetery
